Established more than 50 years ago, Alexandre de Paris was the first Maison of fashion accessories for the hair.
The company was founded by the famous French hairdresser, Mr Alexandre – born Louis Alexandre Raimon – known as the creator of “Haute Coiffure”.
Responsible for some of the most famous names in European royalty, Hollywood stars, society grand dames and haute couture, Alexandre de Paris made a lasting impression in the hairdressing industry for generations to follow. Among his prestigious clients was the Duchess of Windsor (he did her hair on a daily basis for more than 30 years), the Princess Grace of Monaco, Audrey Hepburn, Liza Minelli, Lauren Bacall, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren and Greta Garbo.
His hair creations became iconic. He developed artistic looks for the classic chignon by putting different twists to the style.
