Kiyoshi Sey Takeyama / Sei Takeyama

Kiyoshi Sey Takeyama, born in Osaka, is an architect and Professor. He founded in 1979 AMORPHE Takeyama & Associates, whose works range from residential to urban design. He also works as a Professor of the Department of Architecture and Architectural Engineering at Kyoto University.
Little known outside of Japan, where he has built a lot and won numerous awards, he has also participated in several exhibitions and given lectures all over the world.

Defined as modern architectural minimalism, Takeyama’s design aesthetic delivers a inspirational spatial and visual experience whilst at the same time expressing the beauty of light and nature. It features simplicity, clean lines, restraint in the colour palette, and the deprivation of all unnecessary details, that results with a unique harmony and beautifully designed space.
